Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be a part of the team working on the development of advanced Customer Terminal products. You will own or contribute to the following:

-\tDesign high-speed digital and/or RF circuitry in collaboration with various teams

-\tDesign and optimization of different blocks of electronics sub-systems

-\tSchematic capture and lead PCB layout

-\tDesign DC/DC power supply and Point of Load

-\tSupport flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures

-\tBoard bring-up and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems

-\tSupport design of automated test systems, test fixtures and factory test

-\tSupport the transition of the designs to mass production

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience

- 7+ years of experience in high-speed digital design and/or RF designs

- Experience in signal and power integrity design and analysis

- Experience with mixed signal PCB layout designs

- Experience in using schematic capture tool and PCB layout viewer

- Experience with board bring up and debugging in lab environment

- Experience using lab equipment including soldering irons, hand-tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering

- Familiarity with analog electronics fundamentals (transistors, op-amps, filters, etc)

- Familiarity with DC power supply designs

- Familiarity with Hyperlynx Signal Integrity simulation tool

- Familiarity with EMI/EMC design mitigation

- Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools

- Previous work experience in a programming languages

- Proficiency in developing lab test programs for instrument control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
