Software Dev Engineer II, Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX)
Seattle, Washington
Would you like to re-think how Amazon automates safety in software releases?
Pipelines is the backbone of software delivery at Amazon, and the glue that connects all the pieces of the software development and release process for tens of thousands of engineers. As the company grows, we are investing in new ways of automatically determining how to deploy safely, detect deployment failures, and resolve problems in the release process, all with zero work from service teams. If you're passionate about making it easier and safer to release software, this is the team for you!
Key job responsibilities
You will join a team of talented SDEs who are responsible for designing and building services to support automatic safety at scale, to reinvent how Amazon releases software. The services you will own are directly responsible for automatically improving safety outcomes for 10 million deployments per month across Amazon's entire software ecosystem. Your work will affect the direction of Pipelines as a product, and influence peer teams across Builder Tools such as Apollo, Brazil Build, and more, to deliver excellent results and improve the day-to-day experience of all Amazon builders.
You will be responsible for delivering excellent designs and code, and helping to improve your team's technical practices along the way. You will collaborate with engineers and managers to define the direction for your components to meet critical business needs, and ship features that influence how software development works at Amazon. You will lead and provide feedback in design reviews, collaborate with your team to provide inputs to the road-map, and contribute to overall product and team direction, both within your team and across the Pipelines org. You will participate in the hiring process, and help to coach and develop other engineers in your space.
