HOW A JAVA DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
  • Analyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needs.
  • Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time.
  • Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assist team with preparation of cost estimates.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred but not required.
Required Experience:

10+ years of experience with JAVA, J2EE, SQL, Google Cloud (or any Cloud), GitHub

Security Clearance Level:
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with web services implementation (SOAP and REST)
  • Experience with reverse engineering and analysis of software
  • Experience with Script writing using Python
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD Routine
  • Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Develop and adhere to best-practices for developing applications
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
  • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
Desired Skill:
  • Previous Project Management experience, managing development projects from initial conception to production.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Work with all levels of the organization, from leadership and senior management to the workforce; interactions may include coaching, interviewing, workshop facilitation and training.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools such as VersionOne
  • Knowledge of and experience in an IT Service management System (preferably ServiceNow)

The likely salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
