Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Revenue Integrity is the achievement of operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and optimal reimbursement. The focus is to prevent recurrent, systemic issues that can cause revenue "leakage" and decrease overall revenue.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assumes the responsibilities of Revenue Integrity ensuring facility RCPP are compliant to review and completes WQs and charge capture.
  • Corrects all Revenue Integrity errors and assist departments in order to maintain Revenue Integrity goals.
  • Engages with the RCIT to improve charge capture.
  • Meets with each RCPP department to be held frequently.
  • Recommends modifications were charge capture is identified.
  • Create monthly reports that will be submitted to financial leadership
  • Bridge between clinical operations, the billing office and IT.
  • Ensures compliance of each department to the charge capture policy.
  • Resolves charging related billing edits.
  • Generate and review reports with all RCIT and RCPP.
  • Communicates findings and status on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Reviews and corrects Revenue Integrity (RI) work-queue edits created by incorrect or incomplete workflow.
  • Investigates account issues and follow up with solutions or escalate them to Central Office RCIT team for a resolution.
  • Participates in weekly Central Office meetings to discuss workflow, system issues, and resolution strategies.
  • Monitors all high dollar charge work-queues (procedural and surgical logs and charge quantity accounts) to ensure work-queue users are reviewing and correcting the accounts timely.
  • Communicates, observes, and reports on charge entry discrepancies, trends and patterns.
  • Visit Practices and Departments to observe standard operational flow and meet with providers and practice teams in the practice setting to review process and identify potential gaps.
  • Engages in continual education and training in the subject field.
  • Other relevant duties and special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree in public administration or business administration, or in an
equivalent or equally acceptable program, and four (4) years of satisfactory, full-time
paid experience in a major governmental agency or large corporation or foundation
in management analysis or in operational direction, planning, coordination or control
of which two (2) years must have been in a supervisory, administrative or
consultative capacity; or
2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of
experience as stated in #1 above of which three (3) years must have been in a
supervisory, administrative or consultative capacity; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent, however, all candidates must possess not less than the two
(2) years of supervisory, administrative or consultative experience required.
Four (4) years of appropriate general experience may be substituted for a Baccalaureate degree
requirement. Appropriate full-time teaching experience in an accredited college or university may
be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience and appropriate full-time
teaching experience in a position of professional rank may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for
the required supervisory, administrative or consultative experience.
