Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations - Product Engineering Group

Job Purpose: The Senior Manager for Product Engineering Strategy will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives that enhance the performance and productivity of the Product Engineering Group. They will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align product engineering strategies with the overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Change Management
    • Enhance, articulate, and implement a comprehensive product engineering strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objectives.
    • Drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing product development and engineering processes to deliver higher value outcomes for the business.
    • Drive Product engineering strategy within the organization and ensure it is consistently applied across all business units in the Product engineering group.
    • Identify and analyze emerging trends and technological advancements in the product engineering space and devise strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Value Measurement
    • Establish and monitor key product and platform value metrics to ensure optimal ROI.
    • Socialize value delivered and areas of improvement across teams.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by incorporating best practices into product engineering processes.
    • Drive planning, resourcing, and execution of product engineering projects.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Collaborate with Capability and Product leaders to drive a continuous learning ecosystem that creates mastery in craft and nurtures motivated high performing teams.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and the sharing of ideas to create a strong community and engineering culture.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product engineering strategy with broader organizational objectives.
    • Engage with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the product engineering strategy.
    • Analyze and provide recommendations on financial performance of the product engineering group to steer towards staying on fiscal budgets.
    • Work with DT-US COO to define future state vendor management lifecycle and process, accountability for each step, and the work to automate the process across the TBM/vendor management lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Enterprise level Product Engineering/Management
  • 2+ years in leadership and people management experience, either directly supervising individual(s) or a team
  • 5+ years working in strategic planning and execution within a product engineering environment.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Personal Attributes:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field and/or 6+ years of additional relevant experience
  • MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of product engineering processes and the latest industry trends.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,000 to $218,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
