Job Summary
The Sr. Manufacturing Analyst - Global Operations is part of the Global Operations Team. As a Manufacturing Data Analyst, you will collaborate with multiple departments, including operations planning, manufacturing, engineering, and quality, to enhance our manufacturing operations by harnessing the power of data. Reporting directly to the Sr Director, Engineering and Commercialization / Operational Excellence, you will partner with other engineers, the quality managers, CI resources and finance across the value chain to help improve our operations through data-driven insights. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around ensuring data accuracy, developing Measurement (KPI) dashboards, and supporting teams with data requests for Process improvement, engineering projects and cause investigations. The role will also work directly with the team to drive results within the plants.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leading analytics support for CI efforts to drive out loss in the operation, particularly in support of the Labor Productivity, Quality, Value/Package Engineering, and waste reduction initiatives. Providing ongoing tracking and reporting for performance against goals according to established metrics.
  • Support project implementation of major initiatives at the sites with hands on support on production floor.
  • Use a variety of data sources, including SAP, Flex Metrics and Artimis to identify trends and improve efficiency through slotting/re-slotting items to balance workload and maximize throughput.
  • Support Operational Excellence team with project tracking and data analysis.
  • Develop manufacturing metrics/KPIs tailored to manufacturing needs. Develop Measurement dashboards to monitor manufacturing performance.
  • Maintain the accuracy of automated and manual data reporting systems.
  • Assist teams by providing data-driven insights for engineering projects and cause investigations.
  • Occasionally gather data directly from the manufacturing process when existing data is unavailable or unreliable. This may involve process observation or interaction with associates.
  • Generating reports and analyzing to provide situational overviews, data insights, and operational recommendations for executional and strategic direction for use by senior management.
  • Using databases, computer systems, and reporting tools to develop and update infrastructure needed to support manufacturing initiatives.
  • Support ad-hoc initiatives at the direction of department management to analyze data, prepare reports and communications, manage projects, and complete assignments as a team member.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis and automation solutions.
  • Lead standardization of KPI's, analytics, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Partner with other center led teams on KPI's and metrics.
  • Work with IT to help create data analytics.
  • Train and mentor key organizational stakeholders on the use of data tools and dashboards.

Education and Experience Profile
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or Finance.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Logistics Operations, Warehousing, Manufacturing, and/or other front-line operations business with a strong emphasis on analytics.
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous improvement initiatives (certification highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to organize data, construct visual data-analysis, infer/interpretate data to propose actions for continuous improvement.

Required Skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to share at all levels of the organization.
  • Manufacturing background; at home on the production floor for project implementation
  • Basic knowledge of statistical and quantitative analyses.
  • Previous experience in a data analysis role within a manufacturing or industrial
  • Support Lean and operational improvement initiatives at the manufacturing sites
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written presentation skills, as well as shown interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated manufacturing process expertise and problem-solving skills to identify, develop, and lead implementation of projects or initiatives to drive out loss.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft office systems (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and solid understanding of manufacturing systems preferred - SAP, MES systems, Accelerated MS-Excel experience is preferred. Experience working with SAP required and SAP S4 preferred. Experience with programming languages or data visualization tools, such as MS Power BI.
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; inclusive of written and verbal communications.

Working conditions include both an office environment and a manufacturing plant environment.
