Job Description

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, configuring, analyzing, and maintaining local and wide area networks, and communications systems in a team environment. This individual serves as resource on the Infrastructure Team for supporting project workload requested by departments within Information Technology. The Network Engineer monitors the performance of systems for timely completion of assigned technical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Designs, executes, and documents project plans for various network infrastructure projects. (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPNs, VoIP, WAN Circuits, Cloud Networking, etc.)
• Installs, supports, and maintains hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices.
• Implements and maintains the physical infrastructure underpinning the virtual environments
• Researches emerging technology trends to make appropriate industry recommendations.
• Implements the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other Infrastructure teams and Assist with other Infrastructure team functions as needed. (Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows/Linux Servers, VMware, O365, and Identity Management)

Requirements

Æ ÆÅ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¡ÂÆ ¡ÆÅ¡Â BachelorÆ ÆÅ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¾Âs degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred
Æ ÆÅ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¡ÂÆ ¡ÆÅ¡Â 6-10 yearsÆ ÆÅ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¾ experience in a related field preferred, must have worked in PCI compliant environments
Æ ÆÅ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¡ÂÆ ¡ÆÅ¡Â Technical certifications (Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, NetApp) are a plus
Æ ÆÅ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¡ÂÆ ¡ÆÅ¡Â Experience with virtual infrastructure, particularly VMWare 5 and above, is preferred
Æ ÆÅ¡ÂÆ ¡Æ ¡ÂÆ ¡ÆÅ¡Â Experience with configuration and maintenance of NetApp storage systems is a plus
