This position will work under the general supervision of a Program and Project Supervisor.

The Electrical Safety Policy Division is seeking a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst V to develop cutting edge policy and oversee implementation of electrical corporations' efforts to reduce utility-ignited wildfires.
The Senior Policy Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for the Division for wildfire matters.
The Electrical Safety Policy Division is responsible for driving utilities to be smarter and more efficient in their wildfire mitigation efforts, including increasing the safety and reliability of electrical infrastructure.
Energy Safety values strong analytical and communication skills and seeks individuals who perform well in team environments.

The mission of the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) is to advance long-term utility infrastructure safety through data-driven, wildfire mitigation evaluation and compliance, excavation standards and education, in collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, and in support of improved utility infrastructure, safety culture, and innovation.
