Austin, Texas

Employer: Procore
Industry: Product
Salary: Competitive
Job type: Full-Time

Job Description

Construction documents like drawings, specifications, and 3D models are central to every phase of the construction process. Each country in the world requires builders, designers, and owners to manage these documents according to a strict set of laws and regulations. These parties need an intuitive, robust, and flexible software experience on every project to manage this regulatory overhead. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help us drive the roadmap for a first in class document storage, control, and management solution.

In this role, you'll own the experiences related to how our users quickly upload, tag metadata, submit into an automated review process, and plan their document needs during any phase of the construction process and on any device. If you have proven experience re-envisioning complex, enterprise SaaS experiences, we'd like to hear from you!

The construction vertical is ripe for technological innovation. Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it's one of the least digitized industries, not to mention one of the most dangerous. Procore is leading the market with our SaaS construction platform. We build for real people with real experiences, empowering Groundbreakers to develop and transform the communities where we all live.

This position reports into our Group Product Manager over the construction document management experience and will be based in our Austin, Texas office. You will work with development and design teams in multiple regions globally and will occasionally need to accommodate different time zones or work outside normal business hours. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:
  • Lead and influence two teams of mobile and web engineers and two UX designers, as well as numerous dependent teams across the organization to follow your vision for document collaboration
  • Actively lead and mentor another product manager who will be paired with you across both teams
  • Identify and write product requirements by considering outcome potential, competitive landscape, technical requirements, and user experience
  • Become well-versed in the construction industry and its diverse challenges to guide and communicate the value you're creating for our customers
  • Balance customer empathy with horizontal solution thinking-recognize platform approaches that solve multiple problems at once, creating strategic leverage for Procore
  • Effectively use qualitative and quantitative data analysis to help inform the decision-making process
  • Think beyond software for the whole solution by collaborating closely with customers and go-to-market teams

What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience at an enterprise SaaS software company, preferably working with document management products
  • Experience releasing new products from "0 to 1" and successfully driving their adoption
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams in an agile software development environment
  • Experience managing products and rollouts with complex dependencies across multiple autonomous product teams
  • Customer-centric approach and experience collaborating and conducting discovery with large enterprise companies
  • Ability to effectively communicate trade-offs for decisions through strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong analysis and synthesis skills, demonstrating the ability to break down problems into components structured into platform-first solutions
  • Strong listening skills; Product Management is equally about inquiring as it is advocating
  • A bachelor's degree is required
