Description

Verily's Product Security team is looking for a product security engineer who also has experience in cloud engineering. The person will closely work with product teams to review their security design, but also work independently to implement cloud-based security solutions that product teams leverage.

For security reviews, understanding of AWS or GCP security controls and how they are used in practice. Overall best practices in Secure Software Development. In terms of solutions development, familiarity with cloud development (e.g., platform engineering, Terraform) and various authentication/authorizations schemes.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with product engineering teams to review and provide feedback to their security design.
  • Establish standards and guidelines for product security.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS+, 8 years of relevant experience in a security role.
  • Prior experience in cloud security operations (GCP or AWS).
  • Prior experience with vulnerability management.
  • Prior experience with security design reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in relevant field.
  • Cloud security certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
  • Experience with application security.
  • Familiarity and/or willing to learn MLOps pipeline.
  • Proficiency in identifying vulnerabilities in code (Go, Python, etc.)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $148,000 - $210,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
