Senior Project Manager is responsible for the leadership and successful execution of a project from inception (job launch) to completion (final customer acceptance) within a defined budget and scope. The Senior Project Manager motivates and leads their team(s) to jointly reach all project goals, while increasing companies profitability and securing repeat business with customers.

Senior Project Manager is responsible for the leadership and successful execution of a project from inception (job launch) to completion (final customer acceptance) within a defined budget and scope. The Senior Project Manager motivates and leads their team(s) to jointly reach all project goals, while increasing companies profitability and securing repeat business with customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead domestic and international projects through all milestone phases, pre-launch through project closure, while inspiring confidence in the team and management
- Facilitate relationship between customer and company, strengthening relationship through the life of the project by providing exemplary customer service and communication
- Determine a project budget after collaboration with Project Controller, Sales and Engineering and manage projects to achieve or exceed profit expectations
- Collaborate with the Project Controller as a strategic partner to address any issues that could affect project financials; meet regularly with Project Controller and Resource Managers to monitor project progress and budget limits, coordinate with the Project Controller to monitor, document and continuously manage project risks and opportunities and document and drive action/recovery plans as required
- Construct project timelines, monitor and manage those timelines to achieve all delivery milestones
- Organize project meetings, issue minutes, track and report project progress with team members and follow-up on action items
- Facilitate the team in reviewing milestones, examining potential operational issues/risks, outlining and proposing solutions and identifying actions
- Establish and maintain long term, positive working relationships with internal team members, customers and suppliers; serve as a liaison between internal management and project team members
- Direct engineers in the successful delivery of technical projects, while managing several projects simultaneously
- Manage all project variations in a timely manner, ensuring clear agreement is reached with customers
- Assist in achieving companies strategic objectives by aligning resources with goals and pursuing opportunities that meet the department's objectives
- Assist in mentoring and training other Project Managers
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering or Business Discipline required
- 5+ years working knowledge of equipment, process and commonly used design practices for Automation, Test and Assembly, Filtration and Industrial Equipment
- 5+ years of Project Management experience effectively managing projects with a sales value greater than $5M custom design and production environment and a successful track record in the achievement of key project objectives
- 5-7 years working knowledge of manufacturing type contracts, preferably in the machine tool or automation industry
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls and software engineering terms and principals
- Experience with the use of Microsoft Office programs, such as Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, Power-point, etc.
- Ability to maintain data within current ERP system; proficiency with SAP preferred
TRAVEL
- 25-30% primarily in US and Mexico but occasional international when needed.
