The Regional AME Technical Manager will work closely will the NA operations team to understand top issues and top projects and align with the plants to understand top needs. They will provide assistance and leadership to the NA operations team. The Regional AME will help plants resolve top scrapand efficiency issues, drive process methodology change, evaluate technical talent They will work tosupport the injection molding facilities through hands on floor support activities. Additionally, they will work towards developing the people, processes, and procedures used in our operations as itrelates to the injection molding process. In addition the Regional AME will help develop and implement best business practices and training for the injection molding operations.
  • Developappropriate training material for the injection molding operations.
  • Implement and sustain a common processing strategy.
  • Fluent with scientific molding principles,eDART, pressure transfer, and 2 /3 stage molding techniques.
  • Work with the plants to evaluate processing issues, determine appropriate corrective action, advise on the action plan, and execute when necessary.
  • Setup experiments and analyze the results of the DOE's in orderto resolve issues at their root.
  • Responsible for issue resolution at the plant level.
  • When solving processing issues the Regional AME Technical Manager will apply a logical methodology and will use data where possible to make the best decisions.
  • Develop, implement, and roll out Yanfeng best business practices to all NA facilities.
  • Must have strong documentation and communication skills. Upon completion of a regional level project the Regional AME Technical Manager will be expected to document project findings and prepare a report that will share lessons learned with the plant technical staff and when applicable share these findings with allNA plants.
  • Perform robot optimization through hands on programming.
  • Makerecommendations for process improvements and training requirements as it relates to automation.
  • Working knowledge of tooling and the requirements of a successful tool / process combination.
  • Work with the plants to identify capital improvement opportunities anddevelop justification. When applicable the Regional AME Technical Manager will need to write an appropriations request, follow the request through the approval process, and help the plantimplement.

Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent, work experience. Advanced Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Business strongly preferred.
  • Eight or more years of manufacturing background required. Demonstrated ability to execute strategy and achieve results.
