The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is looking for a talented Senior Sous Chef to help lead their culinary team! Located within walking distance to Disney Springs, this hotel has over 1,000 rooms, 92,000 square feet of banquet space, and six (6) food and beverage outlets. This includes a restaurant, lobby bar, sports bar, pool restaurant, grab and go marketplace, and in-room dining.
In this role, you will assist the Executive Sous Chef in overseeing all culinary operations for one kitchen servicing three (3) outlets: the full-service restaurant Letterpress, the lobby bar Sunnies, and in-room dining. You will manage a team of 15-20 union team members and play a key role in menu development for these concepts.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with a talent for training and developing others, a passion for innovation, and fosters a positive culture. At least three (3) years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume environment with a background in restaurants and menu development. Prior hotel, multi-outlet, and union management experience are a plus!

What will I be doing?
As Senior Sous Chef, you would be responsible for assisting with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, a Senior Sous Chef would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, to include, but not limited to, preparation and production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulation, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
- Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage, as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward
