SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator to play a critical role in supporting the U.S. Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) contract. Responsibilities will include Test and Evaluation of new Software and providing end-user and common device support. You'll be an integral part of ensuring the smooth functioning of critical Information Technology (IT) services for USSOCOM and its deployed forces.
  • Primary responsibility is to serve as a USSOCOM Enterprise Systems Administrator.
  • Must have minimum of (7) years of relevant and progressively increasing responsibility and achievement on Information Technology (IT) services, support and projects.
  • Establish and operate a server maintenance program that provides systems administration, operations and maintenance, and support across the USSOCOM enterprise to include servers (physical and virtual), Storage Area Networks (SAN), software applications, firmware, and network and cyber security.
  • Provide overall enterprise level network system administration, planning, and management. Design, manage, monitor, and optimize geographically dispersed networked systems.
  • Perform system administration, operations and maintenance, and upgrades. Develop, implement, and document network systems.
System Administration:
  • Configure and maintain mid-range development application servers.
  • Study software installation instructions to ensure proper configuration and effective operations.
  • Continuously observe assigned applications and storage devices to prevent hardware or software failures.
End User Support:
  • Provide technical assistance to end users, addressing hardware and software-related queries.
  • Troubleshoot desktop and common device issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other support teams to resolve complex problems.
MECM Package Management:
  • Work closely with software development and test teams to build, deploy, and manage MECM packages.
  • Ensure proper distribution and installation of software packages during the test and evaluation process.
  • Monitor package deployments and troubleshoot any issues.
Qualifications
  • Have thorough knowledge of MECM/SCCM and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) product suite (Configuration Management Console, Remote tools, Software Distribution, Inventory, Software Metering, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM Server components and Operating System Deployment), SCOM Administrator and Operator Console, and Windows Server 2016/2019 Enterprise Editions.
  • Display Expertise in directory services architecture and/or messaging architecture as well as infrastructure deployment and/or distributed system implementation.
  • Windows Server Updates Services (WSUS) expertise with knowledge of use in an air-gap environment
  • Display Network Booting (PXE) and Task Sequence knowledge and experience
  • Have complete understanding of how the MECM client works and how to troubleshoot bad clients
  • All personnel who require administrative rights on USSOCOM Information Systems must meet DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification requirements matching the level of access required (example: Security Plus (SEC+)). Strongly Desired: MCSA/MCSE
  • Must have an active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Ability to travel, up to 10% of time, to locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS locations within USSOCOM AOR, as required.
