What You Will Do:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be the core technical lead for design and development of new cockpit display systems to support both existing retrofit and future aircraft programs. Working with a multi-disciplinary team, you will be utilizing your systems engineering experience to drive top-down architecture, requirements, risk assessments, validation, and verification for certification of new aircraft programs. This is an on-site position, with flexibility of hybrid.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with program management and cross-functional leads to ensure the overall product system integrity from concept to post-production meets the expectations of our customers: from product concept inception strategy, requirements validation, safety risk assessment, product development, design, testing, certification, product delivery, to post-delivery support.
  • Capture, develop, and maintain system and subsystem level requirements driven from customer requirements using DOORS.
  • Support development of product system and sub-system architecture.
  • Produce and/or manage outsourced project data to ensure certification artifacts are released.
  • Drive certification strategy direction and reviews.
  • Technical leader and primary point of contact for Stages of Involvement (SOI) audits.
  • Primary support for identifying technical risks.
  • Facilitate various risk assessments for score.
  • Support technical design reviews of program deliverables.
  • Support sustaining engineering for legacy programs and activities as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of domestic and international industry airworthiness requirements and new product certification initiatives.
  • Train under TSO liaison to support ongoing TSO activities.
  • Drive continuous process improvements for Systems Engineering.

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering with a focus on integrated hardware and software development from a regulated industry, preferably aerospace.
  • Proven Systems Engineering experience in full-cycle design ranging from architecture, requirements management, risk assessments, design, verification, and certification, preferably in military or civil avionics systems or display systems.
  • Working knowledge of tools and processes related to configuration management from requirements development, traceability, version control, and defect tracking.
  • Experience distilling requirements from system level into lower-level hardware and software requirements, preferably utilizing DOORS.
  • Proven ability to communicate in both verbal and written form to technical and non-technical customers, stakeholders, and various levels of management.
  • Experience with ARP 4754, ARP 4761, DO-160, DO-254, and DO-178 preferred.

Salary Range:

Please note the typical hiring range is $130,000 - $215,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
