Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager, Industrial Hardware Systems, to help build the network that powers the world's largest online services and who will be the mastermind behind designing cutting-edge systems.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager, Industrial Hardware Systems, to join CO+I to take a lead role in delivering innovative hardware solutions for our datacenters. This position will provide program management support throughout the product development cycle. You'll collaborate closely with our product managers and architects to ensure our innovative solu tions are safe, effec tive and practical. Familiarity with various datacenter platforms, an understanding of mechatronics systems, and hands-on experience in collaborative automation systems design are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of innovative datacenter systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers and architects to develop system requirements.
  • Create and gather alignment across multiple teams.
  • Drive overall program communication to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Promote internal process optimizations across teams.

Qualifications:

Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ years of professional experience leading the design & deployment of hardware collaborative automation systems
Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Background in collaborative automation systems
  • Hands-on experience with collaborative automation systems design and development
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
