Our Fortune 100 insurance client is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join their team for a long-term contract in NY. As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will reimagine complex digital experiences used every day. You will be part of a product team responsible for transforming an existing digital experience to improve user experience and meet business goals. This design effort aims to integrate 2-3 applications into one seamless experience. Collaboration with a diverse product team, including designers, user researchers, content strategists, copywriters, business partners, and technical teams, will be essential to deliver seamless, engaging, and scalable experiences. Seeking someone with proven experience in designing compelling B2B transactions and a strong collaborative spirit. You will not only execute based on provided requirements but also challenge assumptions to ensure the solutions meet genuine customer needs. Your role will encompass all aspects of the design process within a multidisciplinary team, from customer research and product strategy to ideation, visual design, prototyping, and ensuring implementation aligns with design intent.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance customer needs and business requirements, ensuring customer-centered experiences
  • Design transactional B2B user experiences from information architecture and wireframes to brand-compliant, production-ready prototypes
  • Develop scalable solutions for dashboards, navigation, tables, forms, and data visualizations within the global design system
  • Utilize data and customer feedback to measure design effectiveness and iterate as necessary
  • Design UI components leveraging and expanding the design system
  • Create concepts, scenarios, and clickable prototypes to validate design assumptions
  • Perform design quality assurance during development phases
  • Ensure designs and code are usable and accessible to all users
  • Produce production-ready design assets for handoff to UI developers

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Centered Design, Web Design or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years' experience designing responsive data-driven websites for complex, multi-dimensional programs
  • Direct experience designing, building, and shipping quality B2B products
  • Experience working with Lean UX and Agile methods
  • Proficiency in user experience fundamentals: research, wireframing, creating clickable prototypes, and validating designs
  • Strong skills in user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and data visualization
  • Ability to identify alternative scenarios from requirements to anticipate customer needs and potential errors
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, receptive to design critique, and capable of self-direction
  • Experience aligning with product managers, developers, business analysts, content strategists, design researchers, and other designers to achieve optimal solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and optimize designs based on user and business value
  • Ability to consider customer experiences holistically across communication channels
  • Proficiency working with established design systems
  • Expertise in Figma required; UI development skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity effectively
  • Strong project management skills, managing competing priorities and timelines; ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of initiatives
  • Experience in a company with a strong brand presence, contributing to or working within a design system; experience in design within a large corporation and managing design systems
