Job Summary

As a member of the Information Resources (IR) team, the ServiceNow knowledge in creating detailed design stories, perform development, unit testing and work hand in hand with the SN Architect. Develop, configure, install ServiceNow modules, forms, business rules, and scripts. Build ServiceNow catalog and workflows. Create and maintain a comprehensive list of testing protocols for the ServiceNow instance. Create integrations using REST or SOAP API's. Resolve incidents, using problem investigation, root cause analysis or other toolsets. Work with the team to provide all change management documentation for moving packages into production. Post deployment support and training to the administrator. Use and configure the CMDB tool. Assist in design of and maintenance of the Platform. Hands on experience with flow designer and Integration Hub. Experience with MID server and documentation.

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or other related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Eight to ten (8-10) years of IT experience with at least five (5) years of ServiceNow development.
Primary Job Duties
  • Able to engage and create relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Create detailed design documents, perform development, unit test, work with Architect.
  • Backlog grooming, including documentation of enhancement requirements and effort estimates.
  • Create detailed designs, perform development, unit test, fix reported defects in agile development methodology.
  • Develop, Install, and modify ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, lists, business rules, scripts.
  • Build Service Catalogs including workflows. Participate in workshops and provide technical inputs, conduct show back sessions and training sessions.
  • Update and maintain a comprehensive unit testing protocol for ServiceNow instance deployment and upgrades.
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documents. Previous experience with building integrations with REST or SOAP API's.
  • Resolve escalated incidents by platform administrators. Problem investigation, root cause analysis and fixing the root cause.
  • Change implementation (packaging the code, implementation plan input and deployment support). Post deployment transition to platform administrators.
  • Configure and run discovery tools. Resolve CMBD quality issues, make suggestions for changes to CMDB.
  • Design and maintain platform architecture, while adhering to platform development standards for the following modules, including, but not limited to: HRSD, Employee Center, MID servers, discovery, ITSM, ITOM, SPM, ITAM SecOps.
  • Hands on experience with flow designer and Integration Hub.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience working as a ServiceNow developer (ServiceNow implementation specialist or developer certification is a plus). Hands on experience in defining integrations and data modeling. Technical knowledge of the following areas: Java, HTML, JavaScript, HTML, XML, LDAP active directory, Networking, and database administration. Experience identifying business objectives and developing outcome focused solutions. Experience with Agile software development. Experience working within an ITIL framework or similar operating model. Comfortable self-directing and prioritizing your work with the Service Now Architect. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
