Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) or a highly qualified Staff Services Analyst (SSA) as the Settlements Coordinator for the Human Resources Benefit Unit. This position is under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Benefit Manager (Staff Services Manager I). Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
The AGPA/SSA will serve as the Settlement Authority Review Analyst responsible for monitoring, managing and closing complex workers compensation claims and will share the responsibility with other Return-to-Work Coordinators, to plan, organize, and manage the hospital's Return-to-Work Program. The Return-to-Work Coordinator serves as the hospital's liaison for injured workers, the medical providers, management, and the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Desired Qualifications : The Human Resources Benefits Unit is looking for a highly analytical, motivated, and meticulous professional. Experience in workers compensation, return to work practices, and/or human resource processes and practices is greatly desired. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint is required.
The successful candidate will be required to maintain a professional appearance even while under intense pressure and multiple deadlines. The analyst must have excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and multi-tasking abilities. The incumbent must have excellent interpersonal skills and work with all levels of hospital management, the Department of State Hospitals Workers' Compensation and Human Resources Units, and State Compensation Insurance Fund.
The individual must be willing to work overtime as required on demand with little or last-minute notice and may be required to travel. Excellent attendance and dependability are a must and critical for a position of this level of responsibility
