Sewing Machine Operator

Location: Colorado Springs

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $15/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating sewing machines to assemble and stitch various fabrics and materials according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with sewing machines, attention to detail, and the ability to follow precise instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble fabric pieces according to production specifications.
• Review work orders and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and stitching.
• Adjust machine settings and thread tension as needed to achieve high-quality results.
• Inspect finished products for defects, such as loose threads or uneven seams, and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a sewing machine operator or in a similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with different types of sewing machines and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for measuring and cutting fabrics.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Capability to lift and move materials as needed.
