Overview
The role of the Shuttle Operations Manager is to oversee and manage the VPNE's passenger transportation services, by providing exceptional guest service and maintaining an environment of safety and risk prevention. Using top notch customer service skills and leading by example, the Transportation Operation Manager will create an atmosphere that caters to the many varying needs of our clients, riders and visitors through effective team leadership and management. The Manager will effectively communicate and execute VPNE policies and procedures to optimize service and revenue and foster a trustworthy client relationship and ensuring safety is a top priority at all times.

Responsibilities
- Drive VPNE Business and Build VPNE Brand by driving our client's business and building their brand
- Oversee the complete day to day operations of multiple locations
- Interview, hire & train CDL & Non CDL candidates
- Manage approx. 20-25 direct report drivers
- Work closely with VPNE transportation Director to ensure operations' standards and procedures are being executed correctly and efficiently
- Uses client's objectives to exceed client's expectations
- Enhance VPNE's culture by treating your team exceptionally well and contributing to our goal which is to be "the employer of choice for shuttling programs"
- Enhance VPNE appearance and service delivery.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure various policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations are being correctly implemented
- Fully understand and utilizes the systems VPNE uses to drive and control revenue streams
- Ensures VPNE safety standards and procedures are being strictly maintained at each location
- Oversee vehicle maintenance plan and coordinates maintenance contractors to ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements
- Ensures prompt investigation and resolution of complaints and incidents as relates to service delivery and in compliance with VPNE and client's policy
- Ensure daily trip edit is completed accurately and timely
- Review pre-trip inspections to ensure fleet safety
- Ensure all safety regulations are being observed and all training methods are adequate and effective
- Coordinate special events
- Effectively forecast and budget for all shuttle related expenditures
- Maintain an impressive relationship with our client on location to promote VPNE brand
- Assist and organize all related events, in regards to shuttle services
Education, Experience and Skills Required
- CDL License with Passenger Endorsement
- At least 4 year's experience in transportation industry
- Preferred experience of managing a fleet of 10+ vehicles and 20+ Drivers
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
- Impressive appearance, communication (written and verbal) and demeanor
- Knowledge of DOT & DPU rules and regulations
- Ability to travel locally and manage locations regionally
- Ability to be flexible and work under pressure
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and timely manner
- Ability to read, write, speak and communicate in English
- Ability to develop an impressive and dependable team to meet all of VPNE's goals
- Knowledge of transportation programs and local operations
- Knowledge of vehicle and equipment use and maintenance requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs of supplies and signage
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Word, Excel & Outlook
