Signal Integrity - RF Integrity Engineer
San Diego, California
Summary
Do you like to work on groundbreaking technologies that enable amazing new products? Do you have the attention for details and love for precision to work towards an extraordinary result? We are looking for a hardworking and hard-working RF Integrity Engineer for Apple's IC Packaging team.
RFI (RF Integrity) team develops novel methodologies to solve coupling, spur, and coexistence issues in highly integrated RF systems through simulation and lab debug. The engineering regime covers Si, package, module, PCB, and form-factor device. The working methods are constantly evolving and blurring boundaries of existing domains. As an RF Integrity Engineer, you will explore multiple aspects of RF technology and expand the boundary of innovation. The team is small and the coverage is huge due to its multidiscipline nature.
Key Qualifications
BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Excellent problem solving skills in a dynamic and complex environment when boundary is not clearly defined.
Strong fundamentals in microwave engineering and 2D/3D EM simulation tools.
Deep knowledge on interaction between EM model and other circuit structures.
Familiar with RF impairment at block and transceiver levels, including amplifier, filter, PLL, etc.
Experience with RF lab equipment, such as VNA, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, real-time scope, probe station, etc.
Enthusiasm in learning new technology and willingness to take risks to solve problems.
Strong academic training and knowledge on fundamentals of SI and PI issues is a plus.
Familiar with RFIC design and simulation flow is preferred
Experience in advanced transceiver design and integration is a plus
RF system modeling and link budgeting for transceiver chains.
Preferred experience on RF module/board development.
