RFI (RF Integrity) team is responsible for developing novel methodologies to systemically address coupling, spur, and coexistence issues in highly integrated systems through simulation and lab debug. The engineering regime covers Si, package, module, PCB and device. The working methods are not limited by defined boundaries and evolving constantly. While the state-of-the-art technologies are developed here to meet the challenge, the journey is full of ups and downs as well as excitements and disappointments. As an RF Integrity Validation Engineer, you will be encouraged to address and resolve challenges that surface from the lab validation side. While crucial understandings of design and EM/circuit simulation are highly valuable on a smaller team. Due to the disciplinary nature of the position, you will be offered the freedom to work in various domains without clear boundaries or coverage on your daily workload. Key Qualifications
BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Excellent problem solving skills in a multidimensional and sophisticated environment.
Passion for learning new technology and willingness to take risks to tackle problems.
Adjust test plan and setup based on new findings in measurement and simulation to help root cause the issue.
Broad experience with RF lab debug and characterization.
Experience on bringing up sophisticated radio system and measuring all performance metrics of key sub-systems.
Good understanding of board schematics and layout.
Have experience with measurement automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or Matlab, etc.
Experience with lab equipment such as RF spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators, phase noise analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and perform independent research and development work.

Preferred Qualifications:
Define PCB requirement on schematic and layout to meet validation need.
Knowledge on EM simulation tools and circuit simulation tools.
Knowledge of RF front-end, PLL, and general wireless systems measurements (i.e. NF, Tx power, nonlinearity, phase noise, spur, etc.).

Description
- Collaborate with package, system, and product teams to debug complex noise/crosstalk issues in lab environment.
- Develop test plans to validate system performance and debug various RF related issues.
- Perform conducted and radiated RF measurements of devices and systems.
- Identify root cause of crosstalk and system impairment based on test coverage and simulation data.
- Evaluate and specify test instruments. Develop and calibrate test fixtures and test setup.
- Automate measurements using standard scripting languages.
- Review product designs at the schematic, board layout, and physical design levels.
