Site Reliability Engineer

A major medical technology company is seeking an SRE to join their operations/shared services team. The SRE will be supporting the team's products including custom applications, large data platforms, and services such as Snowflake. The products being supported primarily run in AWS environments, so experience supporting products in AWS is preferable. This person will be deeply involved in maintaining and optimizing the cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring the reliability and security of the systems. They will also play a crucial role in building and shaping the SRE practice within the organization. On a daily basis, the SRE will handle tickets for supported products and ensure automation is implemented. This role incorporates cross-collaboration with diverse teams such as software development, platform, and operations to ensure availability and performance of their cloud-based systems. Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience as an SRE within an operations environment building large-scale environments
- Experience managing infrastructure in cloud environments - AWS highly preferred
- Strong automation experience doing IAC using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK and scripting experience with Go, PowerShell, or Typescript preferred
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience working in a regulated industry, particularly healthcare or medical devices
- Familiarity with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Someone who comes from a software development background
