Description:
Patton Electronics is seeking an SMT Manufacturing Engineer who will:
  • Develop and maintain assembly processes including oven profiling and process chemical evaluation and selection.
  • Specify, install, train operators, and program all automated process equipment (SMT, AOI).
  • Oversee all equipment maintenance
  • Generate assembly documentation.
  • Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
  • Provide board panelization inputs and reviews of bare board manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate facility requirements including layout related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Continually improve assembly processes.
  • Develop and maintain standards and routings in the ERP system.
  • Implement engineering changes into production documentation as required.

    • Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM(Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) related major or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in automated electronic assembly process engineering including at least 1 year of programming SMT equipment.
  • Experience in a production/ manufacturing environment in an engineering capacity.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of ISO9001, IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.
  • Hands-on knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly are required.
