Software Design Engineer 3

Pay Range: $50/hr. - $55/hr.

Our client is looking for Software Design Engineer 3. As a Software Engineer, your primary role is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software, including specialized utility programs such as mainframe and client/server applications, as well as significant enhancements to existing systems.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in C or C++ development.
  • Minimum of 1+ years' experience with MS builds or similar build system technologies.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience is required. Job Responsibilities:
    • Enhance and optimize various complex software implementation projects.
    • Collect and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and devise software solutions to fulfill client requirements and data needs.
    • Evaluate and assess enhancement requests and specifications.
    • Deploy system software and tailor it to client specifications.
    • Formulate detailed software specifications and test plans.
    • Develop new programs according to client specifications and generate test data for evaluation.
    • Adapt existing programs to meet new standards and conduct unit testing on developed programs.
    • Generate migration packages for system testing, user testing, and deployment.
    • Conduct quality assurance reviews.
    • Validate software post-implementation and address any bugs discovered during testing.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline is mandatory.
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience is required.
    • Strong foundation in computer science, with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
    • Substantial experience in designing and developing large systems software.
    • Proficiency in conducting thorough troubleshooting and unit testing on both new and existing production systems.
    • Programming experience and adeptness in problem diagnosis and resolution.
