The Collins Aerospace, Mission Systems, Hardware Tools Solutions team is seeking an Engineering Tools Software Developer. The ideal candidate is one who is familiar with the hardware design and development lifecycle and who has a passion for problem solving while satisfying stakeholder needs.

This position is part of a cohesive team who serve internal engineering customers through the delivery of improvements to the global engineering design tool ecosystem while providing compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency, and productivity of the product development lifecycle at Collins Aerospace.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support software tools utilized by engineering
• Support and develop tool solutions that improve productivity and effectivity of electrical and/or mechanical engineers

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
• Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with hardware design and development lifecycle
• ECAD and/or MCAD tool exposure
• Software development/programming experience
• Enjoy problem solving and committed to delivering high-quality solutions
• Critical thinking and execution of good judgement
• Positive attitude and eager to learn and improve
• Works well with others in a highly collaborative environment
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and support activities, while balancing priorities and schedules Familiarity with hardware (electrical/mechanical) design and development
• Software development experience
