Hybrid Telework:

The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require occasional attendance in the office for training, meetings and other operational needs. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

Application Analysis, Design, & Development
  • Under general direction, independently performs software analysis, design, development, testing and implementation
  • Performing technical, end-user support functions as required
  • Serves as the technical lead on application design and development tasks
  • Promotes system security and awareness by adhering to the Agency's and/or State's IT security policy(s)
  • Works with Stakeholder to assure requirements are thoroughly defined and approved
  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions to write and maintain code in .NET, HTML5, JavaScript, C#, VB.net, SQL and other languages as necessary
  • Performs code review and assists with design reviews; coordinates software development and deployment tasks
  • Support BI reporting development using Power BI and Tableau
  • Creates improvements to primary and supporting websites; web applications and other board infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting and fixing bugs within all aspects of computer use
  • Gathers interprets and applies information from a variety of sources to aid in software development duties and activities
  • Answers questions and presents informal mentorship opportunities to peers via conversation
  • Observation or technical documentation; attends meetings, trainings, seminars and special events
  • Maintains ongoing job knowledge to remain current in software development responsibilities, trends and techniques
  • Performs technical end-user support functions as required; provides high quality customer service to internal and external customers; assists in the day to day operations of the board
  • Assist helpdesk as needed to provide technical support

Qualifications

60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
