Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a hybrid (onsite/remote) opportunity in Ridley Park, PA.
*This position is HYBRID - 2 days onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the installment, configuration, development and continuous improvement of the application deployment solution.
Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, and agile teams in developing zero-downtime deployment strategies.
Drive adoption of deployment automation and process by coordinating with teams, creating detailed documentation, and developing implementation timelines.
Partner with change management in developing release schedules, providing support during the technical release process, and ensuring production systems are functional following a successful release.
Assist in building automated CI/CD solutions that enable teams to create secure, reliable, and high-quality capabilities quickly and efficiently.
Utilize tools such as, Splunk, Elk, Prometheus and/ or Grafana, to monitor, normalize, and visualize system logs and develop meaningful alerting and escalation procedures.
Incorporate tools such as, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, etc., to conduct proper application performance monitoring and alerting.
Leverage modern technologies to perform synthetic transactions to determine system health.
Integrate with event management platforms and ITSM solutions to initiate and escalate production impactful incidents or anomalies.
Maintain, monitor, and troubleshooting applications in production environments.
Develop plans to improve key performance metrics and communicate plans with program leadership and stakeholders.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with Jira Software, Azure DevOps and/or other agile planning solutions.
Experience with Spinnaker, GitLabs, Bamboo, Digital.ai Deploy, Urban Deploy or other deployment automations solutions.
Experience Jenkins, GitLabs, Azure DevOps, AWS Code Pipelines, or other CI solutions.
Experience Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or other container orchestration solutions.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline build automation such as Gitlab.
Experience with infrastructure monitoring and application performance monitoring tools such as Splunk.
Experience with performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics.
Experience with event orchestration platforms, such as, PagerDuty.
Experience with Configuration as Code (CaC) for software configuration management using tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, or Octopus.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
