Job Summary

This position will function as the primary support analyst for the Home Health service line. The analyst will be a key player in the efforts to support the department Epic's Home Health Module (Dorothy). This will include application build, testing, coordination of user acceptance and training of the Home Health users for successful outcomes. This position will also be an integral part in implementing system changes to keep up with CMS regulatory changes to prevent decrease the departments CMS Star rating. The Analyst will play a crucial part in revamping Epic's GeoCoding scheduling feature to improve Home Health clinicians scheduling efficiencies. Primary applications to support will include Epic Dorothy. This position will be backup analyst to team for the following applications: Health Information Management, Occupational Health. Applicants should have certification in Epic Dorothy (Home Health) and at least one other certification in either Epic Ambulatory and/or Epic Inpatient Module.

Experience and Education

Minimum Requirements
  • High school graduation and five (5) years computer operation, programming, or IT experience in a business setting or equivalent experience, including at least one (1) year as Software Systems Specialist I or equivalent.
Job Duties
  • Participates in analysis of software system problems of moderate complexity and formulates and implements solutions to such problems.
  • Performs programming, testing, and documentation.
  • Recommends development of system routines needed for efficient use of computer system resources; designs approved routines; oversees implementation.
  • May specialize in specific area of system software, such as telecommunications or information systems with responsibility for implementation and maintenance.
  • Participates in planning of enhancements and modifications to software; identifies impact of such changes.
  • Trains Software Systems Specialists I as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Work requires exercise of considerable judgment. Work requires personal contacts with data processing personnel of other computer centers and very occasionally with user personnel. Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of object-oriented programming. Proficient in Visual C++/C# Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Ability to quickly adapt and demonstrate proficiency in new software tools. Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to document work and communicate progress effectively. Work may require need to work non-standard hours.
