Apex Systems has an opportunity for a Transport Technician. The ERC Transport Specialist I (NOC) position assists with Enterprise Business customers, and performs in-depth troubleshooting and customer incident management across all Windstream Enterprise T1 based products. In this high-stress, fast-paced environment, Specialists are expected to manage customer relationships, utilize proper troubleshooting methodologies, and ultimately provide a positive repair experience for our business-class customers. This job is as much customer service as it is technical.The opening is for a contract, for a Telecom company in Rochester, NJ.

Applicants must have the ability to work a flexible schedule as the center is open 24/7x365.

The client is an Enterprise-class data, voice, network and cloud solutions designed to meet the unique needs of your business.

You will be working to provide end user support for all LAN-based applications. Working under limited supervision, reporting to a project lead, you will be performing a variety of tasks. Someone with a bit of creativity and latitude would be a nice touch!

Requirements of ERC Transport Tech:

-Possess a general working knowledge of telecommunications products and processes

- Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

- Must possess technical aptitude for performing tasks in switches, routers and other telecommunications equipment

- Ability to work a flexible schedule as our center is open 24/7x365

- Punctuality and reliability are essential

- Ability to multi-task between multiple computer applications is a must, as is the ability to type quickly and accurately while speaking on the phone

- Ability to work with teammates effectively in a high volume, fast paced, collaborative work environment

- Ability to effectively handle distractions, and work in a high-stress environment for prolonged periods of time
