Job Description:

Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a Specialist, Integration and Test Engineer to join our test engineering team. In this role, the selected individual will perform test engineering tasks that establish and manage design requirements, and will verify product designs meet all operating requirements for fabrication, test, flight, and life cycle disposal environments. The successful candidate perform avionics component and subsystem level integration and testing, including working with various engineering disciplines to develop test plans and procedures/programs (manual and automated), coordinating test readiness reviews, test executions, providing floor support and performing failure investigations.

Essential Functions:
  • Serve as responsible engineer and subject matter expert for component test planning, preparation and generation of test procedures and software
  • Coordinate and ensure successful test execution and completion
  • Perform integration testing, lead failure investigations, perform root cause analysis, and mistake proof planning
  • Provide floor support and mentoring for test teams as needed
  • Train others in both company processes, launch vehicle systems and related test engineering tasks


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience in Integration/Test Engineering. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Integration/Test Engineering.


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, identify root cause and formulate corrective action
  • Computer skills to include the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project)
  • Experience with automated testing (Labview/TestStand or similar)
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical professionals at all levels
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a collaborative, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment
