Experienced Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Pittsfield, MA

We are proud to partner with a premier nursing home in Pittsfield, MA, specializing in sub-acute care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our client's team in a full-time, permanent position. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed SLP who is committed to enhancing patient quality of life through comprehensive, thoughtful care and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans focused on functional communication and swallowing, tailored to each patient's discharge needs.
  • Provide high-quality direct patient care in speech-language pathology.
  • Engage in 72-hour meetings to discuss and plan patient discharge, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with a skilled rehab team to deliver therapy and achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Utilize the well-equipped therapy gym, open 7 days a week, to implement treatment plans effectively.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts SLP license (CFY candidates cannot be considered for this position).
  • Proven experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in a sub-acute or long-term care setting.
  • Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of patient care.

Schedule:
  • Full-time position, hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
