Salary: Competitive
Job type: Full-Time
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate and talented Senior Cloud Support Engineer (Azure) to join the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) group.
Our ideal candidate is someone eager to learn and embrace new tools and techniques to enable better performance, security practices, service automation, scalability and reliability. The goal for our team is to keep our cloud infrastructure ahead of our (rapid) customer demand. We are looking for an individual with an operation mindset coupled with automation and software expertise for supporting the transformation of various services from on-premises solutions to Cloud Technologies.
The Senior Cloud Support Engineer will be part of the team that is responsible for deploying, and operating the infrastructure and software based on Cloud technologies. The Senior Cloud Support Engineer will have a strong technical background including both service operations and IT skillsets. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing environment issues, and developing the monitoring solutions which will automate the daily operational activities.
The Senior Cloud Support Engineer will work closely with our internal clients and OHIA team members to understand the solution requirements. The candidate will lead the analysis and design of supportability of technical solutions for cloud environments. The Senior Cloud Support engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of infrastructure and applications' build, release, deployment, configuration activities as well as the operations automation, optimization and management. Other responsibilities include design for support, documentation for SOPs, monitoring and maintaining the automation of our infrastructure and service deployment. The candidate will work independently and collaboratively with immediate team and internal OHIA groups to gather requirements, prototyping, architecting, implementing/updating solutions, building and executing test plans, performing quality reviews, managing system operations, as well as triaging and fixing operational issues. The Senior Cloud Support Engineer will also be responsible for development, implementing and managing industry standard DevOps processes. Additionally, this role will also assist in maintaining and managing the current Cloud HPC infrastructure and assisting with other public and private cloud solutions.
This is a flex-hybrid role which will require you to be onsite at least 5% or as required by operational need; there are no reimbursements for travel to "home office" location.
Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination.
Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $95,900 - $222,100 annually. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately between the minimum and midpoint.
