We're seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to collaborate closely with our manufacturing teams, providing vital financial insights for operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include contributing to month-end closings, analyzing production activities for efficiencies, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions related to inventory and fixed assets.In this role you will be primarily dealing with absorption, variance analysis, P&L review. This will require strong Cost Accounting experience.
Activities include:
- Support month-end close procedures: create journal entries, prepare operational and financial reports, analyze variances, and report on plant performance monthly.
- Conduct financial analysis to monitor spending across various areas, such as scrap, inventory, and plant spending.
- Maintain active involvement in plant operations.
- Review work orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and report on inventory transactions.
- Calculate standard costs for new products and process improvements.
- Ensure the validity and accuracy of our ERP system through coordination with relevant departments.
- Assist in developing annual plant budgets and standard cost calculations.
- Oversee annual physical inventory activities and monthly cycle counts.
- Review and manage asset additions, transfers, and disposals.
- Enhance process documentation and controls related to manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
- Represent Accounting/Finance on operational improvement teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry codes, and governmental regulations.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Finance)
- Minimum of 4 years of Cost Accounting experience
- Experience dealing with absorption, variance analysis, P&L review
- Advanced in Excel in working with Data, including advanced functions like PIVOT tables, LOOKUPS, IF STATEMENTS, CHARTS, INDEX, MATCH, and CONDITIONAL FORMATTING.
- Strong ERP System experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Work Experience in Accounting at a Manufacturing Facility
- Having SAP ERP System Experience
- Having Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Experience
