Primary Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial reporting of the company's income and expenditures by ensuring accurate costing and driving profitability through analysis of efficiencies and recommendations for improvements
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
• Assisting in developing costing rates
• Monitoring and tracing job cost rates from actual to estimate back to the underlying activities
• Ensuring rates are properly applied to jobs
• Making sure all labor and variances are costed to jobs correctly and reported.
• Being the lead in analyzing margin analysis for Divisions, Products, and Customers and tracing costs back to underlying activities
• Assist in year-end physical inventory as well as monitor cycle counts
• Reconciling and reviewing all inventory accounts including reserves
• Assisting the Divisional Controller in preparing and reviewing the monthly job profitability report
• Accumulating and applying overhead costs as required
• Provide backup to annual budget process including calculation of rates
• Participate in weekly meetings led by the Division Controller with Project Managers for variance discussion of actual vs. estimate to budget
• Responsible for reviewing and analyzing the monthly divisional financial statements.
• Preparation of financial packet duties as assigned
• Preparation of monthly warranty reserve analysis
• Deferred revenue recognition calculation
• Assisting the Divisional Controller with monitoring, reporting and forecasting of monthly revenue and expenses
• Assisting the Divisional Controller in the preparation of the company budget and labor rates by doing research and extracting, manipulating and forecasting data
• Additional duties as assigned
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position will communicate with Project Managers, Engineering, Plant Management, Executive team and other Armor personnel.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Time management skills
• Excellent analysis skills
• Must have strong knowledge of Activity Based Costing
• Must have job costing experience as well as % completion
• Experience with Divisional Financial Reporting

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
• 5 years of experience in cost accounting is required
