At Millipore Sigma, the Electrical Engineering role is responsible for the electrical infrastructure for eight sites in St. Louis. This role is instrumental in day-to-day operations and long-term planning to ensure electrical systems are stable and include the folloiowng responsibilities:Ensure electrical design and equipment installations/refurbishments at St. Louis sites are following relevant OSHA, NFPA, NEMA, NEC, etc. and MilliporeSigma standards.Develop a good working relationships with site personnel to ensure maintenance and project objectives are met, to anticipate and resolve technical difficulties, and to minimize any disruptive effect of maintenance/ projects on production.Contribute to, and ensure project compliance with MilliporeSigma CapEx strategy.Plan, Design, and Manage capital (and expense) projects having focus on electrical infrastructure (or other) with fixed schedules and budgets.Lead and participate in site electrical and instrumentation audits.Improve asset reliability and integrity through technical support of electrical distribution systems.Identify and implement improvements that increase efficiency and contribute to site and corporate sustainability goals and initiatives.Plan and support scheduled (and unscheduled) site outages from an electrical perspective.Ensure safety standards are always followed and improved on wherever and whenever possible.Provide electrical designs for assigned projects, with an emphasis on support of electrical power distribution. This engineer supports multiple sites and multiple projects concurrently. Project deliverables include electrical and project estimates, electrical equipment specifications, power distribution and grounding design review, equipment and materials purchase requisitions, electrical drawings, construction bid packages, and qualification of electrical equipment, including electrical equipment includes medium and low voltage distribution and motors/pumps.Additional duties include evaluation of site power requirements and providing project startup and other site electrical troubleshooting support as needed. Specific project duties include preparing/modifying project electrical specifications and summaries for design packages, working with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivering value, reviewing electrical project/vendor drawings, and supporting construction as required.Ensure the application of NFPA/NEC regulatory standards in conjunction with MilliporeSigma local and corporate standards.Review/advise on creating and revising equipment standards across sites and ensuring critical spare parts are identified. Who You Are: Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in a direct manufacturing Electrical Engineering role, or related field.Knowledge of applicable NFPA (NEC) and NEMA codes.Substantial engineering knowledge in hazardous electrical area classification, PSM design requirements, and medium/low voltage electrical systems.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineering license/ Electrical preferred.Master's Electrical License in the state of Missouri or an Industrial-Maintenance Electrician's License in St. Louis City.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.Chemical/pharmaceutical maintenance and/or project experience strongly preferred.Experience with PLCs DCS (Emerson's DeltaV preferred), Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred and related process automation equipment such as VFDs, instrumentation, and discrete control devices is a strong plus.Extensive knowledge with electrical classifications (Class1, Division1, etc.)Working knowledge of PSM and GMP standards.Good financial acumen of project/program management.Ability to communicate using excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience working with best practices of maintenance and reliability.Experience with engineering systems; process engineering, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, etc.Working knowledge of GMP and PSM standards.Self-motivated, responsible and team orientated individual.
