A client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Electrical Project Engineer with a proven track record of about 5-10 years in drafting sophisticated electrical designs for institutional buildings such as hospitals, universities, and laboratories. The role involves developing power distribution systems, low voltage infrastructure, lighting, and fire alarm layouts. A Professional Engineering license, or progress towards it, is required, along with a Bachelors degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or architectural). Proficiency in REVIT and a history of mentoring junior engineers are also essential for this opportunity. The ideal person is passionate about leading projects and fostering the growth of more junior engineers. This opportunity of offering between $100-140k.

Required Skills & Experience

5-10 years of experience drafting electrical designs for complex buildings (hospitals, universities, laboratories)
o Power distribution, lighting and lighting controls design, fire alarm device layout, etc
Currently has a Professional Engineering license or is tracking to sit for the exam.
Bachelors degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or architectural engineering)
Hands on experience using REVIT for designs
Experience acting as a mentor, point of contact, and oversight for junior engineers
Experienced in leading the electrical design discipline for large projects through concept, design and construction phases, and comfortable with associated client facing interactions.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous leadership experience
Professional organization participation (IEEE or other)
LEED certification
