Position: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentoring more jr. level employees' technical skills.
  • Leading projects and initiatives independently.
  • Accountable for meeting team project deadlines on time.
  • Conversing with vendors on current and future technologies.
  • Troubleshooting various server and storage hardware issues.
  • Experience with Dell, EMC, NVIDIA, Brocade hardware or similar technologies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Dell server infrastructure, including modular and rack mount servers.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
  • Monitor server performance and suggest improvements.
  • Manage our backup environment, ensuring backups are taken and are viable.
  • Document systems and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Site Reliability and Database Teams.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and apply them as needed.

Required Skills:
  • Project Leadership: Independently leading projects and initiatives, ensuring effective execution and successful outcomes.
  • Deadline Management: Taking responsibility for meeting project deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of team objectives.
  • Vendor Communication: Engaging with vendors to discuss and explore current and future technologies, aligning them with organizational need.
  • System Automation: Experience with Ansible.
  • Virtualization: Familiarity with VMware.
  • Server Management: Proficiency with Dell server infrastructure.
  • Storage Solutions: Experience with block and object storage arrays.
  • Backup Technologies: Experience with Commvault or similar backup software.
  • AI Technologies: Knowledge of AI-based server hardware.
  • Experience: At least five years in systems administration, systems engineering, or a minimum of an Associate's degree in and IT related discipline.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Basic programming and SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and deploying automation roles.

Certifications Preferred:
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • VMware Certifications

Remote work qualifications
