COMPANY IS CONFIDENTIAL (DO NOT SHARE UNTIL REQUESTED FOR INTERVIEW) Our client in the entertainment industry is seeking a Sales Planning Manager to join our operations team, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, you will lead and manage the processes of creating and maintaining both sales and inventory forecasts for our customer accounts. You will closely monitor our customer accounts including their purchases/orders, inventory, and Point of Sale sales performance to ensure they remain in stock while ensuring (client) is not overproducing.

By working closely with our Production and Logistics teams, sharing forward-looking inventory needs for our continuously expanding assortment of games and products. You will play a key role in our strategic process including setting Top Line sales and profitability goals for the company at the account and SKU level

HOW YOULL CONTRIBUTE:
Actively monitor retail and warehouse inventory levels and predict future inventory needs by geography including US, Canada, UK and Europe for our major customer accounts.
You will translate SKU and retail forecasts into Purchase Order quantities, partnering with the Production, Logistics and Sales teams to ensure the correct order quantities at the best pricing. Youll partner with the Production team (for new PO creation and management) and Logistics team (for inventory shipment and transfer plans) to ensure healthy in-stock levels at retail locations and 3PL warehouses
Partner with retailers and sales representatives and our internal sales team to develop demand forecasts based on Companys and overall category sales history; create a point of view on seasonality, promotional lift, and new account and new item forecasting
Manage overstock inventory completing monthly/quarterly analysis on our sale and inventory trends and ensuring the sales teams are actively prioritizing excess inventory and that logistics teams are prioritizing donation/destruction
Perform ad-hoc analysis including SKU and account-level sales and profitability analyses, hypothetical pricing analysis, exclusive vs. full market analysis
Collaborate with the Sales team on sales strategies to help grow the business profitably
Partner with Marketing and Finance departments on marketing effectiveness vs sales and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting and budgeting
Manage a Demand Planning Analyst, who will assist with inventory management and forecasting

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 6 years working in account planning or demand planning for a consumer goods company, or large retailer
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, econometrics, operations, or a related field
Experience in Sales Planning for a $75-100 Million Business
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, and a problem-solving attitude
Expert at Microsoft Excel, and competency in other business software including Google Workspace.
Experience with selecting, implementing, and leveraging demand planning software including Adaptive, SAS, SPSS or other leading software
High service orientation, hands-on mentality, attention to detail, and a curiosity about data, insights, and leading best practices in demand planning
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
