Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems " Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process " Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water and steam systems " Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency " May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

Responsibilities
- Maintain the serviceability of plant wide utilities, water, sewer, gas and electric.
- Responsible for site fire protection.
- Responsible for site HVAC.
- Develop Capital Acquisition Requests and Statements of Work.
- Coordination with suppliers and contractors.
- Project management of assigned projects.
- Actively participate in maintaining assigned equipment through preventative and predictive tools.
- Serves as subject matter expert and develops a sense of ownership of assigned equipment and associated reliability.
- Serves in a reliability role to assist maintenance group as needed.
- Monitors reliability of assigned equipment utilizing data driven methods.
- Analyzes reliability data and implement action plans to improve asset availability.
- Performs failure investigations of assigned equipment.
- Champions equipment and maintenance process improvement
- Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Confers with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering field required
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a relevant function
