This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Sr. Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for :

Your role:
  • Lead manufacturing process flow and continuous improvement processes
  • Implement process improvement projects required to keep up with industry demands
  • Investigate process defects and drive down defect rate
  • Support automation plans through data driven analysis
  • Develop automation to support production goals, improve quality, and reduce manual processes
  • Root cause analysis and countermeasure planning and implementation
  • Provide engineering support to maintenance for production issues
  • Support production through change management and creation of new processes and procedures
  • Complete final verification and validations of equipment and processes prior to production handoff
  • Support both current and expanding processes through, process flow design, layout design, line balance and time studies, optimizing workflows and work stations for efficiency, ergonomics, and safety.
  • Support mechanical design for all in house, production automation, CNC modifications, cartesian robotics, palletizing stations, and develop future vision guided robotic systems.
  • Complete and maintain all final documentation and specifications
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes or implement new products
  • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral and written
  • Able to lead projects and efficiently schedule and manage time
  • Prioritize, track and process multiple projects at the same time

Your expertise:
  • Process improvement and manufacturing optimization experience
  • Manufacturing Data tracking and analysis
  • Quality System Compliance
  • Cost justification analysis
  • Design Software
    • 3D design software experience is required, SolidWorks is a plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in the mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high quality results in a timely fashion.
  • Experience with the following is a plus; CNC, Cutting / Sawing, plc, vision, pick and place, furnace or annealing, water tower and equipment cooling systems
Required skills to have for the success of this role
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience is preferred
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar with applicable experience
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail in the execution of job responsibilities
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
