Allianz Global Investors continues to develop and grow its Infrastructure Debt investment management business both in Europe as well as the US Market. The infrastructure debt platform now has around €22bn under management and has a reputation as a market leader in the sector providing innovative solutions often in a fast moving deal-focussed environment

The successful candidate will be an experienced and motivated individual with 15+ years' experience in Infrastructure / Project Finance in the US and Latin America and will exhibit the highest levels of competency, integrity, flexibility, and teamwork in undertaking this role. The role will require experience in negotiating and closing transactions, and close co-ordination with existing team members in NY and London.

What you do:Execute investments (principal responsibility):
  • Screening of opportunities including discussions with the wider global Infrastructure Debt team in London and Paris, overseeing and reviewing the preparation of screening papers for the Allianz GI Investment Committee (IC) and preparation of materials to present to current and potential investors.
  • Negotiation of debt terms with Borrowers / Advisers / Underwriters / Placement Agents
  • Undertake detailed transaction due diligence, including the review and analysis of financial, legal, commercial and technical reports.
  • Oversee and review the preparation of investment proposals and presentation to Investment Committee.
  • Oversee development of High Yield Strategy for the Americas including developing internal guidelines, a fundraising plan and originating transactions.


Sourcing Transactions:
  • The successful candidate will develop relationships with stakeholders in infrastructure projects (borrowers, financial advisers, placement agents, construction companies)


Asset management:

  • Oversee the ongoing review of financial and operating performance including meetings with management and liaising with the agent, lenders counsel, and wider lender group.


Credit and infrastructure market knowledge:
  • Keep informed of key developments in the infrastructure and credit markets and ensure dissemination of information to the wider team.
  • Attend seminars and other training to supplement knowledge as required.


Other Activities
  • Support in dealing with investor queries
  • Interaction with Operations, Funding activities etc
Develop Close working relationship with:
  • US and European Infrastructure Debt team members
  • Operations
  • Sales and Client Services department
What you bring:

  • 15+ years' work experience in finance including previous professional exposure to infrastructure
  • Strong academic track record with a BA/BS or an advanced degree
  • Works well in a small team environment
  • Fluency in additional European language to English is useful (Spanish a plus)
  • Good working knowledge of global debt markets.
  • Experience in negotiating infrastructure finance senior loan documentation and conducting senior lender due diligence
  • Expertise in creating and reviewing Excel financial models for both corporate and project finance transactions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work calmy under the pressure of deadlines


Base Salary Range $250,000.00 - $450,000.00Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
