Prime Air PLM team is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical with a strong knowledge of Product Vision , software development lifecycle, and support processes which will enable the future of autonomous drones at Prime Air.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a successful Sr.PM, you must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within a collaborative environment. You will work closely with our engineering, supplier engagement, program governance and production teams to setup up and enhance processes and your product. In addition, you will engage with other business systems project management team to identify and implement integration processes to link your tool across existing business tools while ensuring software architectural efficiency.

Key job responsibilities

Define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation .

Drive product lifecycle from demos, blueprinting, requirement definitions, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, KPIs and other launch efforts.

Work with design engineering, supply based engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, change management, and manufacturing floor partners to define requirements and implement features to meet and improve business processes.

Lead implementation, Track progress, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks to develop and enhance your products.

Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture

Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational load

Handle ambiguous topics, drive actions and deliver results with minimal guidance or input.

Define and drive the adoption of the best practices for your tool usage, manufacturing industry processes, and software implementation perspective.

Provide overall direction on business-critical features, responsible to identify needs to inform product roadmap

Build collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, prioritizing product roadmaps, gaining buy-in from executive leadership and stakeholders through effective and well written narratives.

A day in the life

No two days will be the same. You will have fun, learn something new, and innovate and delight our customers every day. Be it at ideation or at launch, you will be leading activities that will keep you connected with the most important people, our customers. This could mean defining a vision, writing a press release for us to work backwards from, or analyzing customer feedback. You could be working with our internal partners (engineering, commercial, PR) to make product/design decisions, or with our external partners (brands) to launch these products.

About the team

Prime Air COTS team manages the product lifecycle of Commercially Off The Shelf third party software to support the As-Designed, As-Planned, and As-built process at Prime Air. These process in turn enable the design and manufacturing of the drones.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with end to end product delivery

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience as a product manager or owner

- Experience owning technology products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
