Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to manage data center infrastructure goals and programs, as well as manage intra-organizational customer relationships. AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in Cloud Computing; this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, industry-leading technology business.

As a Sr. Program Manager (PM) in the Central Operations Repair team in the Data Center Community (DCC), your responsibilities will focus on managing data center infrastructure service goals and may also span multiple subject areas within the data center operations space. Business-impacting projects you would be responsible for will be prioritization of process improvement, automation and financial programs. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated, extremely organized individual with experience in creating methodology and building value at a global scale. The role requires the ability to quickly assimilate knowledge spanning numerous technology subjects and apply this to data center projects, products and operations.

Key job responsibilities

- Ownership of highly visible, complex, cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap planning, resource planning and project execution of data center projects related to AWS network services.

- Accountability for the overall strategy as well as driving teams inside and outside of the organization to deliver.

- Building and maintaining relationships with key owners and stakeholders across teams and organizations.

- Hosting meetings to assemble the right people to achieve the program goals.

- Writing crisp and clear narratives and program status reports, with the ability to communicate across different levels in the organization.

- Being data-driven and using best data to determine program impact ad benefits to customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
