JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Administrator at HCMC is accountable for overseeing complex and large-scale information technology projects and tasks. Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, documenting, and providing ongoing support for new IT projects, as well as resolving issues with existing computerized systems. This role primarily focuses on HCMC's computer hardware and software systems, communications, networking, and internet systems. Additionally, the Senior Project Administrator offers system guidance to department users as required.

A successful job candidate must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with external and internal teams. Much of the work will include working and adhering to Johns Hopkins standards while also maintaining the interest of HCMC. Applicants should have a proven track record of effective teamwork working with cross-functional teams.

The position will report to the Director of IT and Customer Support and will not have any direct reports.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of information technology systems used in hospitals to effectively manage projects. This includes knowledge of electronic health records (EHR), healthcare data management, and IT infrastructure specific to healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge must include areas of hardware, application software, operating system software, network operating systems, personal computers, Internet interfaces, CCH devices, Cloud based technologies, servers, printers, etc.
  • Must possess strong customer service skills. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders, address their needs and concerns promptly, and provide excellent support and solutions. Experience in handling customer inquiries and resolving technical issues in a courteous and efficient manner is essential.
  • Preferably has knowledge of SAP applications and processes
  • Proficiency in communications systems, databases, and Microsoft office products

EDUCATION:
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Extensive years of experience (15+) may compensate for or substitute educational requirements

CERTIFICATION:
  • Will be required to obtain certification as an Epic Report writer with access to the current approved databases. This role will coordinate and prioritize requests for custom Epic reporting. This role will coordinate activities with the JHM Data Trust Team to ensure all standards are followed with an emphasis on reducing any redundant efforts.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates must have 2 years of project management experience in an IT role.
  • Requires 7 to 10 years working with computerized information systems.
  • 3 years of experience in a hospital health care environment
