We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to join our team. The Quality Manager will play a critical role in developing our foundational Quality Systems, ensure the production of top-notch components, and the maintain high-quality standards throughout our manufacturing operations. The Quality Manager will work directly with General Manager, Operations Manager, and Manufacturing Process Engineering to develop a quality framework that meets our external and regulatory requirements and drive repeatable quality in our production parts.

Key job responsibilities

1. Quality Systems:

- Development and Management of a quality system framework for AMS.

- Selection and recommendation of internal and external tools to host and support the QMS.

- Development of Policies, with oversight to the development of Standards and Procedures.

2. Quality Assurance:

- Develop, implement, and oversee quality assurance programs and processes to maintain consistent product quality.

- Establish and maintain quality standards, specifications, and testing procedures.

- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks to identify and address deviations and non-conformities.

3. Process Improvement:

- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications relevant to additive manufacturing.

- Maintain comprehensive records of quality metrics, inspection results, and corrective actions taken.

5. Supplier and Material Quality:

- Monitor and evaluate the quality of incoming materials and components.

- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve the quality of sourced materials.

6. Customer Satisfaction:

- Act as the point of contact for customer quality concerns and collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer feedback.

7. Root Cause Analysis:

- Investigate quality issues and implement root cause analysis techniques to identify the source of defects and implement corrective actions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field (Master's preferred).

* 5-7 yrs of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing on demand environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* In-depth knowledge of additive and subtractive manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.

* Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and best practices.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Leadership and team management abilities.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $198,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
