Position Summary

In this role you are responsible for defining the intent, expectations, and verification requirements for Oceaneering's Mobile Robotics (OMR) quality processes and managing the resources executing these processes to ensure the consistent and reliable delivery of products and systems that meet customer's expectations.
You will initiate, implement, and lead quality management and change strategies within the OMR Business Group. You will actively contribute to the strategic planning of the business based on industry standards and regulations, customer requirements and feedback, risk management, cost of quality (COPQ), process metrics, and other key performance indicators. You will connect key drivers to OMR's business and financial goals, analyze business challenges and identify resolutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delegating the workload of Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC/DC) services at all OMR sites by leading, supporting, and developing the Quality personnel assigned to the execution of quality process to the level of service agreed upon with OMR Business Leaders.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

• Manage quality systems and initiatives spanning full product realization: product design, internal and external manufacturing, supply chain, and product delivery and service.
• Assist with the design and implementation of quality standards for OMR that align with OII QMS and achieve stated OMR business goals, objectives, and strategies.
• Coordinate with OMR Business Leaders to achieve established quality, financial and other performance metrics.
• Assist OMR with ensuring compliance with certifications and standards required for execution of projects and services to meet customer requirements.
• Determine staffing requirements / optimization of quality assurance, quality control, and document control resources.
• Maintain and assess competency program for all QA, QC, DC resources.
• Develop and manage controlled processes that are based upon items deemed Critical to Quality (CTQ) and Critical to Process (CTP) to meet customer requirements.
• Implement risk management process which encompasses business processes and product related risk.
• Collect and analyze Quality Metrics including voice of customer and make recommendations for improvement based on results.
• Manage all emergent customer quality issues, leading cross-functional teams addressing them using typical tools including CAPA, 8D, and similar.
• 20-30% business travel as needed, some international travel possible.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• 10+ years of related experience in Quality Assurance.
• 5+ years' experience managing people and teams.
• Experience within an automation, electronics, or related business combining product development, manufacturing, and systems integration.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO17020 & ISO17025.
• Strong conflict management and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills and data-driven decision-making skills.

DESIRED

• 5+ years' experience in discrete manufacturing.
• Six Sigma green belt certification, or equivalent experience using Six Sigma tool set.
• CQA Auditor or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, and related automotive quality systems and tools such as PPAP, 8D, and related.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
