An employer is seeking RF Specialist for a contract to hire opportunity in the Mason, OH area. This RF Specialist will be joining the Electrical Engineering team for a leader in the space communication industry. As an RF designer for the Space & Sensors program the specialist will be expected to design space communications equipment including receivers and transmitters. Designs will include discrete low noise amplifiers (LNAs), mixers, and transmitters using solid state power amplifiers (SSPAs). Knowledge and use of associated RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and complex waveform generators is a must for this role. This role will work a 9/80 schedule and must be comfortable working hybrid in Cincinnati. The team will aim to convert the RF specialist in the 6-10 month time frame and is looking for long term fits for this growing team.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

6+ years of RF test design experience (LNA, VNA, vector network analysis, Spice, PSpice specifically)

SSPA design experience (within MWO, DxDesigner, Xpedition, Altium)

Frequency experience within KUBAND, LBAND, SPAND, KBAND, or XBAND

Component Level Design (digital, PCB, circuit board)

Modeling/Simulation tool background (ADS, MWO, DxDesigner, Expedition, PADS, altium)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Clearance

STANDOUT: amplifier, dont mention FPGA usually
