Job Summary

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking for a Senior Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS Cloud Formation, AWS Admin, GitHub, (DevOps), Jenkins and Terraform. This role requires a strong background in Finance & Accounting domains. The candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of our financial systems ensuring they are robust scalable and secure.

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, USA - Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software solutions using AWS Cloud Formation AWS Admin Github (DevOps) Jenkins and Terraform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design implement and optimize financial systems.

• Ensure the scalability security and performance of financial applications.

• Automate deployment processes using Jenkins and Terraform to enhance efficiency.

• Monitor and manage AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on AWS and DevOps standard processes.

• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and alignment to standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure and application performance.

• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and Github.

• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the use of standard methodologies.

• Collaborate with collaborators to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

• Have 6 to 9 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on AWS and DevOps.

• Demonstrate expertise in AWS Cloud Formation AWS Admin Github (DevOps) Jenkins and Terraform.

• Show strong knowledge of Finance & Accounting domains.

• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

• Display strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Be proficient in troubleshooting and performance optimization.

• Have a proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies.

• Show ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Certifications Required

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Jenkins Engineer Terraform Associate Certification
